Joan Margarit i de Requesens (Sant Gregori 1468 - Girona 1554)
Son of Louis and Joana Margarit Requesens Bertran, Joan Margarit de Requesens was the second member of the family of Sant Gregori who reached the episcopal ordination.
Archdeacon of Girona, he alternated his religious function with political life. On 23 September 1521 he was appointed President of the Generalitat of Catalonia until 1524, and in 1525 he acted as deputy. In 1534 he was appointed Bishop of Girona, and he held the post for 20 years until his death in 1554.
Narcís Heras de Puig (Adri 1814- Girona 1900)
Lawyer, politician and businessman known, Narcis Heras was born in Adri, son of Heras Pons and Maria de Puig. He studied rhetoric, philosophy, theology and Latin grammar in the school of Girona.
As a landowner homeowner Heras developed a strong business that facilitated his political career. He held several public positions, including presidence of the Provincial Council of Girona between 1876 and 1878.
In the cultural field, he was one of the promoters of the Journal of Girona and Literary Contest during his presidency in the Council. As a writer, he published the newspaper Postillon, the series of articles on hiking to the mountain province of Girona and various writings on the region.
