Route 5 BTT. Hermitage and mountain of Sant Grau
Circular route
Distance: 22km
Ascent: 500m+
Difficulty: High
Route 5 runs through the municipality on Sant Gregori, arriving at the sant Gregori 'Centre BTT' (Mountain Bike Centre), in the Pineda region. From the Centre BTT you should look for the path that follows the Llemena riverbed until the point where it meets the Ter river. From here on, you should follow the path that runs parallel to the river Ter, cycling along the riverbanks until you arrive at the village of Constantins. The path continues by the Can Perris fountain, and just before it arrives in Constantins it heads to the right through a wooded area, and climbs up to the top of Sant Grau (495 m high). There are spectacular views from the chapel at the peack, and you can see ruins at the castle at Tudela.
The path goes back down the hillside towards Ginestar, which brings you through a short, although somewhat tricky, forest path. The track goes past a lime kiln on the way to Ginestar, before rejoining the Llémena river and finally arriving in Pineda and the Centre BTT.
