Rocacorba
The village of Rocacorba, which is now totally uninhabited, bounded on the south by Canet d'Adri, Sant Martí and St. Esteve de Llémena. Access by car is easier from Banyoles and Pujarnol. It's also possible to arrive from Canet, although this route is rather for hikers and not for cars. The Sanctuary Rocacorba is an eighteenth century building made of an old castle of the eleventh century, and It is situated 929 m above sea level, on a rocky stronghold that has become an excellent view point of the region. There are splendid panoramic views of the Cap de Creus, the Canigou, Collsacabra Montseny, Gavarres or Medes. The name of Rocacorba comes precisely from the curved and rounded shape of the rocky cliff.
