Leave the restaurant can Tura, in the village of Sant Aniol de Finestres, towards the car park on the paved road. Cross the river by the Llémena Bridge and turn right following the direction of Mieres by el Freixe. The route is marked with yellow and white signs. About 3 km after there is a turnoff on the right to follow up to the hermitage of Sant Miquel de Bustins. At this point you can continue the route up by the asphalt road that has brought you to the chapel. This one becomes soon a path toward Mieres. Another option is to take a small trail that is born a few feet away from the front door of the chapel. This path passes by the fountain of "l’espardenya" with stone landmarks signaling the way. Both options lead to the church of Santa Maria del Freixe. At this point, continue along the main path towards Santa Maria de Finestres and passing through the Coll de Pedres Picades. You must follow the gravel track that passes for the monument “la dama de la Garrotxa” and the Iberian watchtower and that leads to the Coll de la Palomera. At this point continue on gravel track until that a half a mile after you find a path up to the right that leads to the sanctuary. Having visited the sanctuary undo the way and back on the main gravel track, which leads down to the starting point of the route.

Attractions: historic village of Sant Aniol Finestres, hermitage of Sant Miquel Bustins, chapel of Santa Maria del Freixe, Palomera Iberian village, Finestres’mountains and sanctuary of Santa Maria de Finestres.
