Josep Puig i Puig “Curta”
Known as "Curta", Josep Puig was one of the best defenders in the spanish.
It began in the football club Salt for two seasons, 1939-1941. In 1942 he debuted with FC Barcelona, where he remained for nine seasons until 1951, when he retired.
"Curta" played 270 games as a defender of the right side of the FC Barcelona and was three times for the Spanish. As a player the club won three league titles (44-45, 47-48, 48-49), in 1949 the America's Cup, the Cup of Spain 1950-1951, the 1945 Gold Cup and the Copa Eva Duarte 1948.
