The Torre fountain and mill (14th, 17th and 19th centuries)

The Torre de Canet comprises a rectangular tower with four floors and a pitched roof, with a dwelling on the side with three floors, sloping towards the façade, and is distributed around a courtyard. The main door has a rounded voussoir arch, with the coat of arms of the Canet family, and the windows on the first floor are rectangular and have monolithic lintels. The windows on the top floor and the tower are clearly from later alterations. Far in front of the tower, where the Canet stream runs in a gorge and receives waters from the Tornavell and Rissec streams, there are the remains of the old mill. This mill is now abandoned and in a state of ruin, but various surrounding structures have been redeveloped, such as the dam, a part of the canal, and two old stone bridges, which form part of the Font de la Torre park, one of the most beautiful areas of Canet.

Town: Canet d'Adri
Dirección: Check kernel Canet towards Adri
Visita: Free access to the mill environment (public park). The tower is closed to the public.
