Santa Maria de Finestres Sanctuary (10th century)
Above the mountains that separate the Mieres, Hostoles, Les Medes and Llémena valleys, at an altitude of 880m, there is this church dedicated to Saint Mary. It comprises a single nave, with a gabled bell tower with two arches, one of which still holds the 1840 bell sponsored by the Rocafiguera family. Earthquakes in the 15th century damaged its structure. The sanctuary serves as a reminder of the Carlist wars.
