Sant Martà de Llémena Church (11th, 12th and 18th centuries)
Sant Martà de Llémena Church (11th, 12th and 18th centuries)
This Romanesque church was rebuilt in the 18th century due to the earthquakes in 1427-1428. The parts from the previous 12th-13th century church are the bell tower and some of the walls. During the alterations the original orientation was shifted, and the apse was where the entrance now is. It comprises a single nave with side chapels. The façade is very simple and is preceded by a portico with a two-sided roof with painted tiles, supported by two stone columns. The bell tower is square with a pyramidal roof. During some alterations, remains of wall paintings were found inside the church.
