Sant Joan Chapel (11th century)

Sant Joan Chapel (11th century)

Sant Joan is a Romanesque chapel with a nave and semicircular apse, in the heart of the Sant Joan plain, by the road between Llorà and Sant Martí. Constructed in the 11th century, it has no known documentation and it has not undergone important alterations, and so it retains its original form. The doorway (with a voussoir) opens to the south and is protected by a small construction on two sides. On the west façade there is a bell tower with a gable with two arches.
